This group covers Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and other Asian cuisines that are not Chinese, and the etiquette varies by kitchen. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Card and tap-to-pay are widely accepted; cash-only is more common at small family-run counters.

Greensboro is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Greensboro follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

We had a craving for Thai and decided to try someplace near us. We're not from Greensboro, so some online searching brought us to discovery of Thai Square. Wow! It was fantastic. It's a beautiful restaurant situated in a shopping center with ample easy parking. The food came out quickly and was delicious. The interior vibe is very beautiful and interesting too. My compliments to the chef in particular as I asked for my order to be made very spicy...and the chef actually did it. Most places in visit will put a little chili oil or pepper flakes into the dish and pretend that's enough. Thai Square did it right and made mine legitimately hot and spicy the way I love it. I visit the area for work on occasion and this will now be my go-to restaurant. It was just delicious in every way. For those interested in vegetarian options, there are many, plus tofu as a protein option for nearly every menu item. Enjoy!

The worst Thai food we ever had. We ordered papaya salad and Thai tea which were good ( Come on , they are not very hard to make ). For the main course, we ordered kou Suoe first. That was not that good. They literally used the curry powder that is available in the supermarket. Very limited soup and less chicken. We were not at all satisfied and so we ordered a Pad Thai. This is the worst Pad Thai we ever had. We have had Pad Thai in multiple locations in NC and in many other states. None of the restaurants provided pad thai in a saucy/ soupy texture. There are no flavours. It was too sweet and itโ€™s horrible to explain. I suggest the chefs/ the owners to go and try other good spots in Greensboro or in High Point to understand what a Pad Thai is. When we told them this is not Pad Thai, they said itโ€™s their version of Pad Thai which is acceptable but the taste is horrible. Only their staff and the chefs can eat this dumb food

(4.5 stars) I had time to kill before a movie and wanted a lighter lunch. A som tam (papaya salad) fit the bill, and Thai Square had it. While I would have been satisfied if it merely fulfilled a craving, Thai Square more than exceeded expectations. From an aesthetic standpoint, this is one of the nicer Thai restaurants in the area. Itโ€™s bright and clean with a wall full of ornamental plates. Though it was busy at the time of my lunchtime visit, it seemed well-run. Staff were polite and attentive, and the kitchen had no trouble keeping up with demand. The som tam with shrimp was among the best versions of this dish that Iโ€™ve had. From the attractive plating to the freshness to the flavors (good amount of lime, not too heavy on the fish sauce), it was satisfying across the board. It wasnโ€™t at all spicy, which would ordinarily be a red flag (white people Thai food, five-yard penalty), but in fairness, it wasnโ€™t requested as such. Provided that Thai Square can bring the heat if you ask for it, the execution here is top-notch. I donโ€™t know if the rest of Thai Squareโ€™s menu compares favorably to the dish that I had, but I hope to eventually find out. For Thai fans in Greensboro, this

Personally, Iโ€™ve traveled all over Thailand and parts of Lao, and I can tell you this is not a typical Thai restaurant. This restaurant serves food that you might find in a small village or Homestay. The staff are Thai and you can use Thai language to order food if you know the names of the dishes. The flavor was rich and authentic.

Iโ€™ve been here a few times now, and even though some of the staff greets you with the enthusiasm of a teenager being told to clean their room. I donโ€™t even care. Still, the food is great. Huge portions, great prices, and a 20% military discount! If you donโ€™t like spicy, be careful with some dishes. Iโ€™m pretty sure I saw a dragon in the kitchen preparing them. Youโ€™ve been warned! To survive the heat, I recommend the Thai tea or ginger tea; they are perfection. The portions are so huge I have to share with my husband, which is the only thing keeping me from needing a wheelbarrow to get to the car. Those dish is a 'Chefโ€™s Kiss': The Mango Fish is a flavor explosion. The Tamarind Duck is 10/10, spot on. The Tom Kha with the seafood/coconut milk is a hug I didn't know I needed. And the Gyoza and Spring Rolls, theyโ€™re my favorite. Iโ€™ve never actually seen the dessert menu because Iโ€™m always at maximum capacity by the end, but Iโ€™ll keep trying! The restaurant is clean, and despite the 'chilly' greeting, this is hands-down my favorite Thai spot in the area.
